Resettlement and Rehabilitation (R&R) Census Survey
Location: Tehri, Uttarakhand | Donor: Asian Development Bank, Median Research
This project involved conducting a census survey to assess resettlement and rehabilitation needs in 9 villages in Tehri. We surveyed 66 households, covering land ownership and usage to support the planning of development projects. The findings provided critical data for addressing displacement and compensation issues.
Unclaimed Deposits and Pathways for Banks (Funded by Reserve Bank of India)
Location: Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Haryana | Donor: IIT Hyderabad
This research, focusing on unclaimed deposits in private sector banks, involved semi-structured interviews with 300 bank managers across multiple states. The data collection aimed to explore potential solutions for banks to manage and reduce unclaimed deposits. The project offered insights into financial management practices and provided recommendations to the Reserve Bank of India.
Socio-Economic Survey & Environmental Baseline Monitoring Survey
Location: Uttarakhand | Donor: Asian Development Bank, Median Research
In this comprehensive study, we conducted household surveys and tourist surveys, engaging with 400 households and 400 tourists. We also facilitated 13 FGDs with community members and carried out PRA, SWOT, and willingness activities to gauge the socio-economic and environmental impacts of development initiatives. Village profiles and transcription services further contributed to a detailed understanding of the project's socio-economic and environmental baselines.
