Baseline Study: Ending the Worst Forms of Child Labour in Mica Mining Project

Location: Bihar and Jharkhand | Donor: Dr. A.V. Baliga Memorial Trust

This project aimed to tackle the worst forms of child labor in the mica mining regions of Bihar and Jharkhand. Our team conducted 12 focus group discussions (FGDs) with children, youth, and women, as well as 24 in-depth interviews (IDIs) with members of School Management Committees (SMCs), teachers, civil society representatives, and other key stakeholders. Our work included tool development, data collection, FGDs and IDIs, data analysis, and report writing, providing comprehensive insights into the issue of child labor.

Rapid Assessment Study

Location: South Delhi Slum Area | Donor: EHSAS 81 Foundation

This rapid assessment focused on children’s education in slum areas of South Delhi. We collected data from 200 households, specifically gathering details about children's educational status. The project included the development of tailored data collection tools and on-ground data gathering to identify key educational gaps and opportunities for intervention in these vulnerable communities.

Baseline Study of “Neev for Foundational Learning” Project

Location: Haldwani, Uttarakhand | Donor: United Way Delhi

This baseline study aimed to assess foundational learning outcomes for young children in seven Anganwadi centers in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. We engaged 100 children and their parents, conducted FGDs with parents and community members, and held seven IDIs with PRI and ICDS officials. Our services covered tool development, data collection, FGDs, IDIs, data analysis, and report writing, providing a comprehensive baseline for future interventions in early childhood education.

Need Assessment Study: Youth Aspirations for Improved Employability and Sustained Livelihood

Location: Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh | Donor: Tata Steel Foundation, United Way of Delhi

This study assessed the aspirations of 350 youth in Ghaziabad to improve their employability and livelihood opportunities. We also conducted seven FGDs and five IDIs with key stakeholders. Our team developed customized data collection tools, conducted FGDs and IDIs, and provided data analysis and report writing services. The study’s findings are instrumental in shaping future skill development programs to align with the needs and aspirations of the youth.
